Mini Review: Safi Hydra Glow Cleanser & Oil-Free Moisturizer

Image
So. It’s been a (very long) while since I updated this little blog of mine. And honestly, I am ashamed of myself for not being able to even commit to a twice a month posting schedule I had set up for myself. A shame, really. *shakes head* Anyway, quite a lot of things happened in my life, and I was grappling with my own negative emotions as well so that might have sapped away all of my energy and motivation I had had for this blog. But! Fortunately, I still keep with me little notes on skincare I’ve used over the past year, so hopefully I can get back to writing reviews on those products. Quite a lot has changed as well concerning my skincare journey. But that’s a story for another day. Right now I would like to focus on these mini reviews I have planned for two products from Safi Hydra Glow range. These two were one of the first products I tried back when I was starting my skincare journey (and I didn’t, unfortunately, jotted down my thought on them somewhere), so the review...

Reviewing my favourite cleanser ever!

So, hi everyone. Not sure if anyone is reading this but if you're here, I would like to say sorry first because I’m kind of struggling with my posting schedule for this blog. I just love to procrastinate a lot (blaming the INFP in me) and I’m also lazy, a great combo for disaster, but I really really want to make this whole blogging thing work for me so… I guess I’m going to start with posting like twice a month. I cannot cut myself too much slack or nothing will ever get done. Anyway. I got a new skincare review I want to share with you guys today and it’s for a well-known and well-loved, I would say, cleanser from a popular Korean brand, COSRX. When I first got into skincare, I did quite a lot of research about it. I wanted to learn more about my skin type, what kind of products would work for me, stuff I should look out for, all that. And that’s how I came across this cleanser from this K-beauty brand. It’s a very popular cleanser recommendation for oily skin. Majority of the s...

Review: Safi Hydra Glow Oil-free Serum (one of my first skincare products)

Image
Hi everyone! Today in my first review post, I want to share with you guys my thought on one of Safi’s products from their Hydra Glow range, that is their Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid oil-free serum. This was the very first serum I used back when I began my skincare journey (and I’m still using it today). I remember being with my colleague, checking out a newly opened Guardian store in the town where I’m living. This colleague of mine was the one who got me into skincare, and she was also the one who suggested me this serum. I was using Safi Natural cleanser at that time and seeing that I had no negative experience with this brand, my colleague suggested me to try Safi’s products for starter. She helped me pick this particular serum since it was labelled “oil-free” (because I’m oily) and I ended up buying it alongside its moisturizer. On the box, this serum claims to be able to soothe skin redness, rebalance oily T-zone area, and give your skin the shine-free and weightless hydration. S...

A Little Introduction

Image
Hello! Welcome to my blog and my very first post on here. I’m Aina, in my mid-20, and from Malaysia, born and raised here. And I have an oily skin. Important bit to know. I’m not exactly sure if this would be a full-time skincare blog. Honestly speaking, I just want a platform for me to talk about all the skincare products that I’ve used and/or am using. I can’t really articulate myself well in front of camera (and people, too, for the matter), so making a YouTube channel is a no-go. I don’t have accounts on TikTok and Instagram, so social media is also out. And that left me with blogging option, and I like the idea. Except for the fact that I have a history of having a few blogs before and then abandoning and deleting them afterward. But that’s a story for another day. Disclaimer: I am absolutely not an expert whatsoever in skincare. I’ve only begun my skincare journey last June in 2023 (better late than never, right?). Before this, all I ever did to take care of my skin was just ...
